William "James" High, Jr., 75 went to heaven on Friday September 23, 2022 with his wife Kay, daughter Melanie and son-in-law Gabriel, by his side.
James was born on May 7, 1947 to William James High and Angier Faye Flynt High in Huntsville, TX. He graduated from Huntsville High School in 1965. He met the love of his life, Kay, in Trinity Texas at the Tasty Freeze, and they married on October 14, 1967 at Riverside Baptist Church. He was employed at TDCJ at the time of their marriage and shortly after moved to Baytown Texas and was employed by Humble Oil and Refining (ExxonMobil) for 35 years. After retirement they loved traveling in their RV and seeing most of the National Parks in the US and making many friends along the way.
He is survived by his wife Beatrice Kay High; one daughter Melanie High Moreno and husband Gabriel Moreno, 3 grandsons, Matthew, Mitchell, and Paul of Huntsville Texas. Two sisters: Sue Francis Mote of Huntsville and Mary Julia Parker of Lubbock; sister-in-law Kathy Franklin of Huntsville. Many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
