Wilburn Bruce Morgan, 90,  of Riverside, Texas passed away March 12, 2026 in Huntsville, Texas. He was born July 14, 1935 in Riverside, Texas to Bruce and Jewell Morgan. He was the 8th of 10 children.

He attended school in Huntsville and was an all state guard on the 1953 Huntsville Hornet State Champion football team. In his younger years he enjoyed fishing and all that nature had to offer.

He married his wife  Ida Lois in August of 1956 and from that union 3 children were born. In his younger years he learned what hard work was and passed that lesson along to his children.

Mr. Morgan was employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 30 years. He could talk to anyone and enjoyed visiting with the people he served in his position at the phone company. He especially enjoyed the many good times that he shared with the "brothers" at Southwestern Bell. After retiring and in his later years he enjoyed feeding and watching birds and raccoons, and as he had in his younger years, he enjoyed all that nature had to offer him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ida Lois Morgan, brother Robert Morgan, his sisters Irene Looper, Inetha Jernigan Johnson, Lois Inez Russell, Katie Phillips, Mae Dell Richardson, Lou Cole, Novell Carter and Ruby Levine.

He is survived by his daughters Nancy Morgan, Virginia Plummer and son Bruce Morgan. Also left to cherish his memory are his grandchildren Colton Morgan, Conner Morgan and Hannah Morgan along with numerous nieces and nephews.
