Theodore (Ted) Lemons, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and veteran, departed this life on October 18, 2024, at the age of 94. Ted was born on October 16, 1930, in Austin, Texas, to Theodore and Myrtle Lemons. His family later moved to Corpus Christi, where he attended Simon Cole High School. Ted was baptized at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Corpus Christi, Texas, a commitment that remained a guiding light throughout his life.

After graduating high school in 1951, Ted joined the United States Air Force, proudly serving his country during both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was dedicated to his role in the Air Force, embodying the values of service and duty for over two decades.

Ted was preceded in death by his parents, his son Kenneth E. Lemons, and two brothers. Left to cherish his memory are his loving daughter Coretha Lemons of Huntsville, TX, and his devoted son Byron K. Lemons and wife Nesha of Houston, TX. He will be dearly missed by his six grandchildren: Ashlee Martin of Beaverton, OR, Keith Cleevis, B.K. Lemons II, Kevionne, Derris, and Dylan Lemons, all of Houston, TX, as well as his five great-grandchildren, who brought him immense joy.

Ted's legacy of service, devotion, and love for his family will be carried on by those who knew and loved him.

The family will receive friends at Heritage Oak Funeral Home in Huntsville on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 from 4pm to 6pm. A memorial service to honor Ted's life will begin at 6pm.
