Terry "Regina" Ginsel, of Weldon, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Regina was born on March 31, 1948, in Huntsville, Texas, to George Terry Whittaker Jr. and Yvonne Whittaker.

She shared nearly six decades of marriage with the love of her life, Gerry "Wayne" Ginsel. High school sweethearts, Wayne and Regina built a life together centered on love, family, faith, and devotion to one another. They enjoyed traveling, antiquing, working around their home and farm, and simply spending time together. Wayne preceded Regina in death on April 1, 2025, and his absence was deeply felt during the final chapter of her life.

Regina is survived by her children, Cody Wayne Ginsel and wife Regina Kay Ginsel, and Kerry Regina Brown and husband Jeffrey Thomas Brown; her wonderful grandchildren, Lauren Alexa Brown, Andrew Wayne Ginsel and wife Paige, Macy Leanne Ferguson-Ginsel, Chase Ryan Ginsel, and Chad Taylor Ginsel and wife Chelsea; her sweet great-grandchildren, Madison Elizabeth Ferguson, Bradley Bryce Allen Ferguson, Emma Faye Ginsel, Austin Wayne Ginsel, Maverick Wayne Ferguson, and Judah Graham Gerry Ginsel. She is also survived by her two beloved dogs, Lucy and Winston, who were her close companions.

Regina graduated from Huntsville High School, and went on to graduate from Sam Houston State University, where she earned both bachelor's and master's degrees in education. She devoted more than thirty years to Huntsville Independent School District, serving as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, and Human Resources Director. She spent many cherished years as the principal of Stewart Elementary School, where she formed friendships that lasted a lifetime. A special group of teachers who served alongside her there remained among her closest and most faithful friends throughout the years.

Though our hearts ache, we take comfort in knowing she is at peace, reunited with Wayne and those she loved who went before her, and resting in the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
