Suzette Lynne Moore was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on May 14, 1951 to Charles and Vivian Gustine. She passed away in Willis, Texas on March 7, 2026 at the age of 74.

Suzette grew up in Lake Jackson, Texas where she attended school and graduated from Brazosport High School. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Lake Jackson where she accepted Christ at an early age. After high school, Suzette attended junior college in the area where she met her future husband, Larry.

In 1971, Suzette and Larry married and she worked at The Brazosport Facts. In 1973, they moved to Huntsville, Texas to complete their education at SHSU. Suzette became an elementary teacher and taught in Conroe and Huntsville, Texas until she retired in 2011. Suzette and Larry lived in Huntsville for many years. In 1978, their only child, Monica, was born. She grew up in Huntsville. After Monica married and had a child, Larry and Suzette moved to Willis to be near their grandchild.

Suzette was preceded in death by her parents, sister Norma Cook, and her husband, Larry. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Monica and Billy Stanley of Willis, and three wonderful grandchildren, Karley, Ashton, and Davin Stanley.

Other survivors include sisters Sib Carpenter and Temi Woodward, and Suzette's loyal rescue dog, Jane.

Suzette was a faithful member of First Montgomery Baptist Church and a member of the Montgomery County Master Gardeners.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2026 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Heritage Oak Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 16, 2026 at 10:00am at McAdams Cemetery. Pastor Chris Gober of First Montgomery Baptist Church will conduct the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that you make a gift in Suzette's memory to Blaze Christian Academy - Blaze Scholarship Fund where Suzette spent her last years in education teaching Texas History.

Suzette will be remembered for her love of family, the outdoors and the many children she taught in Sunday school. She will be dearly missed by her family, neighbors and friends.
