Steven Banks Holbrook was born August 20, 1953 in Houston, Texas and passed away in the early hours of October 27 2022, after a long battle with cancer. Steve attended schools in Huntsville, graduating in 1971 and with honors from TSTI in Waco, Texas.
Steve was mechanical. He loved taking engines apart and putting them back together. Fast Cars, NASCAR and watching the races either in person or on TV on Sunday afternoons. Our sons thought Memorial Day was to celebrate the Indy 500!
Steve loved his family, especially his sons and grandsons. He will be dearly missed by his high school sweetheart, wife Dianna, Son Jason Banks Holbrook and wife April. Son Jacob Hays Holbrook. Grandsons Jared Hays Holbrook, Reed Banks Holbrook and Nate Timothy Holbrook. Sister Leesa Holbrook Williams and husband Tracy. Mother-in-law Lanelle Faulkner, brother and sister in law, Richard and Mary Ann Faulkner. Sister-in-law Kay Coey. Many nieces and nephews, cousins, Aunts, Uncles. Life long friend/brother Bobby Smith. Prayer warriors and special friends Loretta and JoeNell.
Steve was preceded in death by parents, Father Dr. R.B. Holbrook and Mother Polly Anna Holbrook, Father-in-Law E.H. Faulkner.
A memorial service will be held at Heritage Oak Funeral Home, Saturday, October 29 at 2:00 with Reverend Reagan Cooksey officiating. Per Steve's wishes, he will be cremated.
Finally able to rest in peace, you will never be forgotten and will be loved for eternity!!
