Shana Sheffield Cross

January 29, 1960 - February 24, 2025

Shana Sheffield Cross was born on January 29, 1960 in Huntsville, Texas and went home to her Lord and Savior on February 24, 2025.  What a reunion there was in heaven when she was met by her mother Dolores Donovan and her father Edmund Earl Sheffield.

Those left to cherish her memories are her beloved husband, William (Bill) Cross; daughter Kristine Vrba and husband Christopher; son Matthew Cross and wife Elizabeth; grandson Pierce Branscomb; granddaughters Isabella, Mayala and Eden Vrba; brother Ed Sheffield and wife Deborah; sister Sheila Gaskins and husband Gene; sister Becky Spelce and husband Don; and numerous nephews, nieces and extended family.

Shana was a proud Huntsville Hornet, playing clarinet in the marching band.  She retired from the City of Huntsville and worked many years afterwards managing the gift shop at the Sam Houston Statue Visitor Center. The most important thing to Shana, affectionately known as Sha-Sha, was her love and devotion to her family.  She was such a beautiful force of nature that will be missed deeply by her family and friends.

A Reception will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 4:00PM to 6:00PM at Heritage Oak Funeral Home, 1080 Interstate 45 South, Huntsville, TX 77340.
