Ruth, who loved to be called "Nana" by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, departed her loving family on July 22, 2023 at 10:00 PM.

Ruth was born in Bakersfield, California on October 2, 1949 to Bill and Adell Ashworth.

Ruth was mother to Angela Lawler Martin, Stacy Lawler, and Melisa Dehnert. She raised her children with love and devotion in Huntsville, Texas with her husband Will Lawler.

She had a love for her Husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews that was like nothing else in the world.

She truly made our house a home. She treasured every moment with her family and embraced every moment with us. She especially loved her role as Nana. Her greats and grands could do no wrong in her eyes, and they could always climb right up in her lap and into her warm loving arms. She also had a great love for fishing. If you couldn't find her around the house, you need not look any further than the nearest fishing hole. She'd be there wetting a hook and enjoying the sounds of nature.

She is survived by her children, Angela Lawler Martin, Stacy Lawler and Wife Tanya, Melisa Dehnert and Husband Adam, Grandchildren Brittany Martin, Chance Wells and Wife Katelynn, Chance Strange, Christa and Trista James, Will Lawler, Tyler Lamb, Jake Lawler, Cade Dehnert, and Ashlynn Lawler. Great grandchildren Noah Ennist, Klint Wells, Alice Ennist, and Claire Wells. Also numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Will Lawler, Father Bill Ashworth, Mother Adell Ashworth, stepmother Agnes (Mama)Ashworth, and Brother Paul Ashworth.

Visitation will be at Heritage Oak Funeral Home on July 26, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Service will be held at Heritage Oak Funeral Home on July 27, 2023 at 2:00 PM.
