Rosemary Elizabeth
Stutts Coleman
Mar 6, 1952 — Nov 11, 2024
Huntsville
On Monday morning, November 11th, 2024, Rosemary Elizabeth Stutts Coleman was welcomed in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Having been baptized at the age of 12 years old, she started her spiritual journey and lived her life accordingly. Her faith was rock solid and unwavering until the very end.
She was born to Alvin Leyon Stutts and JoBeth McAdams Stutts on March 6, 1952, in Huntsville, Texas. Rosemary graduated from Huntsville High School and Sam Houston State University. After graduating and marrying the love of her life, James Edward Coleman III (Jim) on March 27, 1976, she began a life fulfilling her dreams especially where little children were concerned. She was a school teacher and dearly loved teaching the younger ages having taught at Little Red School House in Huntsville, Tulsa Christian Academy in Oklahoma and in the North Zulch School District. Outside of her teaching, she loved art and painting, gardening, flower arranging, and cooking for her family. Her greatest pleasure was having the privilege of babysitting her granddaughters until they reached school age. Her love for them was undeniable.
She is survived by her husband, James Edward (Jim) Coleman III; sons James Alvin (Jac) Coleman (Sandy) and Joe Daniel Coleman (Candius); sisters Jana Certa (John), Joan Escamilla (Mark Wimbley) and Jill Frazier (James); grandchildren Aiyana Coleman, Savannah Coleman, Caitlyn Coleman, Christopher Garcia, Seth Coleman, Kaiden Coleman, Isabelle Coleman and Sophia Coleman; nephews Layne Willingham and Rance Frazier; aunt Carla McAdams; and special cousins Larry Joe, Carolyn and Marty Moore.
The family wants to express our sincere gratitude to Benchmark Hospice for their compassionate care.
Honoring Rosemary's wishes, the family will celebrate her with a private family service and burial.
