Robert Wayne Flanagin, 53, passed away on November 9, 2025, in Trinity, Texas. Born on June 12, 1972, in Huntsville, Texas, Bobby lived a life marked by dedication to service, deep compassion for others, and a steadfast commitment to his family and community.

A proud graduate of Huntsville High School, Bobby went on to build a distinguished career with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ), where he served as a Correctional Officer V. His professionalism and integrity earned him a place on the TDCJ Honor Guard—an esteemed role that reflected his unwavering respect for duty and honor.

Bobby was known not only for his work ethic but also for his generous spirit. He was always ready to lend a helping hand and embodied the values of loyalty, strength, and kindness. Those who knew him remember him as someone who led by example—quietly strong and deeply caring.

Outside of work, Bobby found joy in life's simple pleasures. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and spending time in nature. He also had a passion for cooking and delighted in preparing meals for those around him. Whether watching movies or relaxing with television shows, Bobby appreciated moments of comfort and connection.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Claudia Flanagin; stepdaughter Edith Prieto; and stepsons Javier Prieto and Mauricio Prieto, and other family and friends. Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Michael "Mike" Flanagin, and his son, Joshua "Josh" Flanagin.
