Richard William "Dick" Seddon, 85, of Trinity, Texas passed away peacefully at his residence on June 23, 2024. He was born to Jesse Ralph Seedon and Pearl Alice McCurry Seddon on August 25, 1938 in Struthers, Ohio.

Dick married Alice Mathis on January 13, 1964 and they enjoyed 60 years of marriage together filled with much love and laughter.

Dick loved to sing whenever and wherever he could. He also loved collecting old bricks.  He had a large collection of bricks with the manufacturer names on them.  He loved researching their history and where they were made.

Dick always enjoyed teaching. He retired from Windham School District in 2000 where he taught bricklaying classes. His class won a number of awards for their skill in projects that they built. Alongside his class awards, Dick was also awarded as "Teacher of the Year".

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers: Albert Valliere and Jesse Seddon Jr.

He is survived by his wife Alice Seddon, daughter Dana Seddon, son Richard Seddon Jr. and his wife Janna;  grandson Trey Seddon and his wife Eileen and granddaughter Emily Seddon. Trey and Emily brought much joy to his life. They were his pride and joy and he treasured them.

He is also survived by two sisters, Jean Rudell and Jane Pennock.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that you consider giving flowers to a loved one in Dick's memory or do something nice for a neighbor, carrying on Dick's love for bringing joy to others.
