Obituary

Rachel Langley AuBuchon, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, entered into eternal rest after a courageous battle with strokes. Though her time on earth was far too brief, we know that she is perfectly healed and surrounded by love.

Rachel trusted in the Lord, even through suffering. She reflected His love through her compassion, kindness, and unwavering care for others. Rachel was gorgeous, her laughter was contagious, her smile lit up the room.

In 2018, Rachel had the wedding of her dreams and married Frank Wade AuBuchon. Rachel was a devoted and fun mom to her three beautiful children, who were truly the light of her life: David Caden Langley & Nekole, Layla Grace, and Frank Lucas AuBuchon. She was looking forward to getting to watch her beautiful granddaughter Mimosa grow, sharing pictures and talking about that beautiful girl brought her immense joy!

Rachel had a servant's heart. She was a wonderful cook who delighted in preparing delicious meals and perfecting recipes from scratch. She deeply cherished her family and friends, sunsets, and all of God's creatures- particularly her goats, sheep, and chickens that she watched from her back porch with her sweet companion Winnie by her side.

Rachel had a special love for animals and was passionate about rescuing and caring for them. She embraced any project—whether involving people or animals—where she could pour in love, nurture growth, and bring life and hope where it was needed.

She is lovingly survived by her husband, Frank Wade AuBuchon; her children; her granddaughter; her parents, Debbie and Bill Toney, and Daniel and Lisa Langley. Rachel was a precious and treasured daughter, deeply loved by her parents.

She delighted in being the only girl among her brothers and shared a close bond with each of them: Rhett and his wife Brittany; Joshua and his wife Lindsie Langley. David and his wife Jennifer; James, Buck, Zachary and his wife Grace Toney and her big sister by choice, Amber, and her husband Jared Yates. She was preceded in death by her beloved brother, Jacob William Langley.

Rachel adored her many nieces, nephews, and took immense joy in loving them well!

Rachel was a precious granddaughter, deeply cherished by her family. She was also preceded in death by her doting Nana and Pappaw, Rachel and David Hoot, who affectionately called her "Sister" or "Little Rachel," and by her loving grandparents, George and Opal Langley, H.B. and Mary Sue Toney, and Alfred Valdez. She is also cherished and deeply missed by his wife, Lorene Valdez, who will miss sending her confetti-filled cards and will continue to carry her love always.

Though our hearts are shattered our hope is in Jesus. We rejoice in the promise of heaven, knowing Rachel is now healed, whole, and resting in the presence of her Savior. Rachel will always be remembered for her beauty, fierce strength, and deep passion. Her legacy of unconditional love will continue to live on through all who were blessed to know her.
