Pamela Gayle McDonald, known by all as Pam, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Wednesday 7/20/2022 following a well fought battle with large B-cell Lymphoma cancer.

Pam was born on September 11, 1958, to Irvin and Donna Rawls.  She spent her younger years growing up in both Austin and Houston.  And in her early twenties, she was a dental assistant in Houston.

In 1981, Pam agreed to be set up on a blind date by one of her girlfriends.  While initially she had reservations about the kind-hearted, warm, and goofy guy she met up with that night, Pam quickly fell in love with Wiley McDonald.  After six months of dating, they were engaged and married within a year of meeting.  A love story that stood firm through significant hardship but more joy than any one person could imagine.  They would have celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary this October.

A few years after getting married, Pam and Wiley welcomed their first daughter, Kristin, in 1987 and shortly after their second, Kaitlyn, in 1990.  If there was ever an event, no matter how big or how small, she was always there.  From PTA to bake sales, being a Girl Scout Troop Leader to attending every dance competition for Kaitlyn and every golf tournament for Kristin.  For any school event or field trip, she was always there with bells and whistles along with food she had made for just about anyone that needed something to eat. Pam was a true example of what it meant to be wholeheartedly devoted to her girls.

Her love language without a doubt was cooking and serving others.  There was always an open seat to anyone that needed a meal at her home, and she doted over countless details when it came to hosting her friends and family for any event.

Pam's love of serving others guided her to being a Weight Watchers Leader.  She supported and encouraged many people on their health and wellness journey in Round Rock and across the North Houston Area.

She was an avid traveler and loved planning trips with her friends and family.  She also thrived when tasked with any project and was always her best self when she had something to pour her heart into.  Even in her final months, she planned and picked out every detail of the new home that was being built for her and Wiley.  An incredible final gift for family and friends to gather at and cherish the memories they had with her.

Pam is survived by her husband Wiley McDonald, daughter Kristin Humphrey and son-in-law Justin Humphrey, daughter Kaitlyn McDonald, Mother Donna Franklin, mother-in-law Marian McDonald, brother Rick Rawls and his wife Theresa Rawls along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members who she loved dearly.

Lie-in state visitation will be held on Monday & Tuesday July 25-26, 2022 at

Heritage Oak Funeral Home in Huntsville, TX from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm.

Services will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Round Rock, TX on Wednesday 7/27/2022 starting with family visitation at 1:00 pm and the funeral service at 2:00 pm with a reception to follow.

Graveside service will be held on Thursday 7/28/2022 at 9:00 am in Wortham, TX.
