On March 22, 2023 , Myrtie Lee Hoot Smith closed her eyes in her home and awoke in the presence of the Lord . Born June 19, 1936 the youngest of thirteen to Aaron and Annie Hoot .

She is survived by her husband Charles ( Bud ) Smith of 69 years , son Charles Smith , daughter Jennifer Warren husband James and grandson James ( Jamie ) sister Robbie Meadows , brother- in - law Wayne Smith and wife Barbara , and numerous nieces and nephews .

She was a devoted and loving wife and mother and worked hard in the family business along side her husband Bud .

She is preceded in death by her daughter Dorthy Marie Smith son Nelson Wayne Smith , parents Aaron Burr and Annie Hoot , and eleven brothers and sisters , father - in - law Charles Smith and mother - in - law Annie Smith .

Services will be held on Monday March 27, 2023 , at Heritage Oak Funeral Home . Visitation will be from 10 till 11 and services will be at 11. Interment will be at Adickes A ddition C emetery following the services .
