Mona Kirk Bogue was born January 12, 1940, to Grandon Lyon Kirk and Minnie Myrtle Longston Kirk. She passed away peacefully on August 26, 2022. Mona was born and raised in Pasadena, Texas before moving to Huntsville, Texas.

Mona was a loving mother and grandmother. She was known as Momma, Grandma, and G-Ma

She worked in the banking industry for many years and retired from TDCJ in Huntsville, Texas. Mona enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and family gatherings. Christmas was her favorite holiday. Some of her favorite past times was buying gifts for family and friends, going out to eat, watching the Houston Astros, and the Houston Rockets.

She loved her two dogs as if they were her own children.

Mona is preceded in death by her husband James Byron Bogue, parents Grandon and Minnie Kirk, brothers, Jim Kirk, Donald Lee Kirk, & Charles Ray Kirk. Along with her beloved nieces and nephews.

Mona is survived by her children, Regina Bogue Williams and husband Cary, Huntsville, Texas; Kirk Bogue, Huntsville, Texas, and God-daughter Lisa Behl; grandchildren Morgan Newman & husband Josh Newman, Huntsville, Texas, Lauren Bartee & husband Waylon, New Waverly, Texas, Alec Williams, Huntsville, Texas, Joshua Bogue & wife Britney, Oklahoma; sister Norma Jean Kirk Bienvenue, Huntsville, Texas. Great-Grandchildren Leighton, Brynn, Blair, Harper, Phoebe, and Silas. Along with her many nieces and nephews.
