Mary Frances (Jamison) Harper, 76 of Huntsville, Texas, passed away on September 18, 2025, in Montgomery, Texas.  She was born on November 25, 1948, in Pasadena, Texas to JP and Eleanor Bernice (Smith) Jamison. Mary grew up in Pasadena and attended Sam Rayburn High School. Mary met Johnny O'Neil Harper when they were in the 7th grade. They married on September 30, 1966.

The family moved to Deer Park, Texas, in 1978.  After receiving her Certified Professional Secretary Certification from the University of Houston, she worked at S&B Engineering, Inc in Project Management. She later owned and operated Harper Timber Company. After moving to Lakeland in Riverside, just outside of Huntsville, Texas, in 1988 she worked as a Bookkeeper for Ashworth Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc as well as BCS Bank Card Solutions. In 2004 She became the Office Manager for Financial Professional and Planner, John K. Henry Jr. She absolutely loved this position and retired when Mr. Henry retired and closed his office. Mary didn't sit still long, she became the Chief Deputy for the Walker County Clerk's office in 2011, where she stayed until her second retirement in 2024.

In her younger years, Mary was an avid roller skater, winning numerous accolades for her elegance and speed. She was known for her cooking, sewing and willingness to help others. She loved hosting and preparing Friday Football lunches for the Deer Park High School Football Team along with supporting both Jason and Kim in their activities. She was a member of the National Association of Parliamentarians, Past Member of the Riverside Volunteer Fire Department as well as a 20 plus year member of the Huntsville Firefighters Auxiliary. She loved adventures, twinkies and was quite fond of Micky Mouse.

She is survived by her son Jason Otto Harper and wife Kristen of Montgomery, Texas. Daughter, Kimberly (Harper) Robinson and husband Shawn of Hempstead, Texas.

Grandchildren; Keegan Harper, Kinley and Kylar Robinson, Jade Westbrook and husband Kyle. Great-Grandchildren; Blair, Rafe and Asher Westbrook.  Nieces: Mary-Margaret (Jamison) Gulihur and husband Robert of Pasadena, Texas; Melissa (Jamison) Robinson and husband Todd of Cedar Park, Texas. Nephew, Wayne Moody and wife Janna of Liberty, Texas. Great-Nephews: Joshua Moody and wife Stephanie, Michael Moody, Matthew Jamison, Nelson Robinson. Great- Nieces; Jewel (Moody) Davis and husband Adam, Heather Moody, Allyson Gulihur, Lauren (Gulihur) and spouse Kayleigh Kantowski, Tricia Robinson, Cloe Robinson and Grayson Robinson. Mary's closest friend, Kari French and husband John were also family to her.  Through this bond she cherished as her own, Jacob French, wife Lexie and their son Jackson, Jeffrey French and Fiancé Nicole Harris. Also left are other extended family, numerous friends and colleagues.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband of 57 years at the time of his passing, Johnny Harper, her son Jamie O'Neil Harper who passed as an infant in 1972, and her beloved brother Jerry Bruce Jamison.

Mary's legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched and she will be dearly missed. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the charity of your choice in her memory.
