Mark Kevin Davis, (AKA: Dad, Pop) went to be with the Lord on January 23, 2025 at his home in New Waverly Texas. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida on December 28, 1958 to Sydney E. Thompson and Myrna Nettles Thompson. In 1963 Mark was adopted by his stepfather William C Davis. His adoptive dad was serving in the US Army which allowed his family the opportunity to travel and live in Germany for 3 years.

After his dad retired from the armed services they moved to Texas and made their home in Huntsville. Mark attended and graduated from Huntsville High School. He always had a passion for woodworking so immediately after graduation he started his career with  Charles Thompson, a custom home builder in Huntsville Texas as a  custom cabinet maker. Mark had a god-given talent for building as well as an eye for details and he was quite the perfectionist.Mark also worked for the Louisiana Pacific as a millwright, using his talents as a craftsman and skilled tradesman. He was offered a position with Dawson mobile homes after his work caught the eye of Steve Dawson, Sr. He also went to work for Nettles Country where he was instrumental in reconstructing an iron and metal barn into a workshop to make saddle stirrups. Again, Mark was able to show off his talents and imagination in the making of  stirrups that were recognized among the rodeo scene. While working at Nettles Country he was asked to build the podium for the Governor of Texas,Governor Greg Abbott. Governor Abbott uses this Podium to this day.

Until he was instructed by his physician not to work, he was teaching young men how to construct Homes at Rite of Passage. These young men learned from the best. Because of his kindness and patience many will use what they learned to better themselves for the future. Because of his work ethic and dedication to his employers marked work many long hours. He never cared about taking credit for his beautiful work; he was never one to boast. The word "NO" was not in his vocabulary.

Mark was an avid fisherman. He loved spending time on the water fishing with his nephews and friends. He especially loved taking his grandson out fishing, teaching him how to get out a bird's nest and sharing his secrets on catching the big one. In earlier years he enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his friends and his brother Michael.

Mark is preceded in death by his father, Sydney Thompson; grandparents Cecil and Polly Nettles; sister, Sissy Walker; brother, Glen Davis and cousin, Laci Nettles.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving parents Cecil and Myrna Davis; the apple of his eye, daughter, Tisa Littleton and husband Robert; grandchildren, Lexie Davis and Cale Littleton; sister, Renee Billingsley and husband Don; brother, Michael Davis and wife Candyce; brother, Wesley Davis and wife Jennifer; brother, Jody Davis and wife Claudette; aunt, Sandra Brumlow; uncle, Ronnie Nettles and wife Gala; and a host of nieces and nephews.
