Manuela Martinez, born on June 9, 1934, in Mexico, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2024, following a short illness. She was 90 years old.
Manuela is the eldest of five children. Preceded by her sister, Dora, she leaves three siblings, Marina, Mary, and Santiago. Preceded by her son, Reginaldo, Jr., she also leaves behind four children: Lidia, John, Albert, and Ana, as well as seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and extended family. Manuela will also be dearly missed by her two four-legged companions, Pancha and Cookie.

A woman of deep faith, Manuela was a source of strength and kindness in the family. Her home was always open to those in need, and her generosity knew no bounds. She was a loving mother, devoted to her children, and a source of wisdom and guidance to many who sought her counsel. Manuela's ability to crochet anything, her love for her chickens, cats, and dogs, and her unwavering independent spirit made her a unique and beloved figure.

In her youth, Manuela was an avid horseback rider, showcasing her strong and adventurous nature. Throughout her life, she had a deep love for music, which brought her much joy. One of her favorite pastimes was going to the casino, especially when she hit it big. Though she is no longer with us, her memory will live in the hearts of all who knew her.

A graveside service was held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 20, 2024, at Oakwood Cemetery, 801 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Huntsville, Texas.
