Kenneth Dale Hanselman went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at the age of 73 after many years of declining health. Ken was born in Victoria, Texas on January 9, 1951 to Victor and Opal Hanselman. He was married to his best friend and soulmate Carolyn Cooksey Hanselman for 32 years. Ken was a wonderful husband, father, and PawPaw.

Ken was a hard-working man, serving as a machinist for many years with Baker Hughes and proudly serving his country in the US Army. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping until his health prevented him from doing so.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother, and his brother, Billy Wayne Hanselman.

Ken is survived by his loving wife Carolyn; son, Andy Baker; step-daughter Angie Goines (Gary); former daughter-in-law, Jennifer Baker; granddaughters Rainey Stern (Andrew), Sara Petzold (Austin), Madison Hanselman, Elizabeth Hanselman; numerous great-grandchildren whom he adored; two sisters, Yvonne Strickland (Rusty), and Vickie Drouin (Nolin); and one brother Donald Hanselman (Cynthia).

Ken will lie in state at Heritage Oak Funeral Home in Huntsville, Texas on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 from 10:00AM to 3:00PM. Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 with visitation starting at 9:00 AM and the funeral service at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Center Hill Cemetery in Oakhurst, Texas.

Ken will be laid to rest with honor by pallbearers Dawson Park, Andrew Stern, Rodney Cooksey, Gary Goines, and Michael Cooksey. Serving as honorary pallbearers are John Ginn, Ernie Byrd, Rusty Strickland, Nolin Drouin, and Donald Hanselman.

Ken will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
