She was born in Ponca City, Oklahoma on April 22, 1957. She was the daughter of Dudley and Juanita Johnstone. She graduated from Dickinson High School in 1975. She served the community as a Pharmacy Technician at Kroger's and UTMB in Huntsville. After retirement, she truly found her calling at New Waverly ISD as an employee and volunteer. She touched the lives of so many in the community and never missed a sporting event. She believed in supporting the kids and was the ultimate Bulldogs fan.
She is proceeded in death by the love of her life, Louren "Big Daddy" Lamb, as well as her father, Dudley. She left behind her mother, Juanita, daughters Andrea Bell and Tiffany Tomkavits as well as bonus children, Louren Lee Lamb II (wife Mysti), Vanessa Lile (husband Terry), and Michelle Thomas (husband Cian). If you knew MiMi, you knew her grandbabies were her world. Caleb "CD" and Cameron Bell, Kaitlyn Williams, Logan and Joshua Lamb, Hannah and Haylee Lile, Mason and Madison Howard, Sullivan and Callahan Thomas and great-grandson Levi Johnson will truly miss their MiMi. She will also be memorized by her brothers Rodney Johnstone (wife Bobbi), Kevin Johnstone (wife Cheryl) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will accept visitors on Thursday September 29, 2022 from 5pm to 7pm at Heritage Oak Funeral Home in Huntsville, Texas. The funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Timothy O'Bryant on Friday, September 30, 2022 at 2pm at the Heritage Oak Funeral Home as well. A graveside service will be Saturday October 1, 2022 at 1pm at Forrest Park East Cemetary located at 21620 Gulf Freeway Frontage Rd, Webster, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Caleb and Cameron Bell, Melvin Williams, Dedrick Strambler, Keunte Reed, Devonta Lewis, Trent Bell, and Savion Young. Honorary Pallbearers are Terrence Bell, Clayton Loll, Cliff Loll, Scott Collins, Hayden Terrell, Demetress Eldridge, and Andre Crosby.
The family is asking that in lieu of flowers, they are making arrangements for a donation to be made to the New Waverly Bulldogs boys basketball program. Details will be available in the very near future. They also ask for anyone that plans to attend the funeral services to wear purple in memory of such a wonderful lady.
