In the early morning hours on July 24, 2023, our mother awoke in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

JoBeth McAdams Stutts was born to Joe Horn McAdams and Sarah Elizabeth Jones McAdams on October 5, 1929, in Bedias, Texas. She graduated from Bedias High School and attended Sam Houston State Teachers College. She met her husband, Alvin, in Huntsville and married in December of 1950.

She was a true matriarch of her family as her family was the center of her life. One of her greatest accomplishments was spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren for they each attended "Mimi's Camp-Do-What-You-Want". As she was a fabulous cook, there were always baked goodies for all! Among her many talents of sewing, gardening, genealogy, writing, playing the piano, she loved hunting and traveling with Alvin the most.

She is preceded in death by her parents, the love of her life, Alvin Leyon Stutts; brothers Daniel Gentry McAdams and Thomas Hiram McAdams; and sister Sarah Susanne McAdams Hegar.

She is survived by daughters, Rosemary Coleman (Jim), Jana Certa (John), Joan Escamilla (Mark Wimbley), and Jill Frazier (James); grandsons, James Alvin "Jac" Coleman (Sandy), Joe Daniel Coleman (Candius), Layne Gentry Willingham, and Rance MacGregor Frazier; great-grandchildren, Aiyana Coleman, Savannah Coleman, Caitlyn Coleman, Christopher Garcia, Seth Coleman, Kaiden Coleman, Isabelle Coleman and Sophia Coleman; Sister-in-Law Carla McAdams; additional family: Brandi Myers (Ryan), Tandi Wright (Travis), Brynlee Myers, Reed Myers, Tindall Wright and John Tyler Wright and numerous nieces and nephews.

The greatest gift she bestowed upon her family was her love and knowledge of her Lord Jesus Christ. Her bible was her road map in life. It gave her direction, strength, comfort and the wisdom to lead her family to Christ. Her fervent wish for her family and friends is to seek the Lord in all things and follow his teachings.
