Joan McCoy-Rodgers November 2, 1941 - March 21, 2023 passed away in Huntsville, Texas.

Joan was well known to be the angel of her family. Her constant prayer and guidance for her family lead the way to many finding peace and love in our Father. Joan did not have a formal degree in education, her life work was her study in the Bible and she became a scholar in his word.

She loved her church , her family and her friends. Joan was a dedicated wife to her husband Yancy for 26 years. She enjoyed spending time with her sisters, nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her sister Peggy Cole and husband Yancy Rodgers of Huntsville, Texas and a host of family and friends.

She loved life to its fullest and was thankful for every blessing. Joan spent many hours in her prayer room where she would post notes of those that needed prayer.

There were many good times and laughs along the way, especially with her sisters. Joan was a wonderful cook, especially her homemade chocolate and coconut pies. Her pies were the highlight at every family get together. When asked why her pies were so delicious she would comment that she prayed over every one she baked.

She had a wonderful sense of giving and a huge heart. She gave to many charities and did always with a willing heart. Many loved ones will travel to her service this Saturday at 1:00pm to pay respects and remember our gift from God.
