James Arthur "Jim" Moore, 80, of Huntsville, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2026 at Angel Kiss personal care home in Huntsville.

He was born in Oneida, New York on September 26, 1945 to parents Charles Wallace Moore and Helen Catherine Moore.

James is survived by his wife Alicia G. Moore, his son Chuck Moore and wife Mary Moore and his step children Wade E. Cooley, Sarina Mickelson and husband Edward L. Mickelson and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He served in the US Army for 22 years in Military Intelligence. He continued in his civilian life as a special agent with Defense Investigative Agency and OPM.

James and Alicia were married in 1982 in San Angelo, Texas where they resided until 1985. They then transferred to Alaska where they built their dream home in North Pole, Alaska and lived there for a little over 11 years. They then transferred to Del Rio, Texas where they lived for 26 years until they moved to their current location in Huntsville, Texas in 2021.

A memorial service will be held at Heritage Oak Funeral Home on Sunday March 29, 2026 at 2:00 pm.
