It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Isidra Monjaras de Gonzales. Isidra passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family after a seven-year battle with melanoma, on March 15, 2024, in Huntsville, Texas. Born on July 31, 1940, in Dolores Hidalgo, GTO., Mexico. She was a beacon of strength and the matriarch of her loving family.

With a spirit that knew no boundaries, Isidra and Gabino Sr. journeyed to the United States, determined to forge a better future for their children. Her resolve as a mother was matched only by the warmth and generosity she extended to all. Her home was a haven where family gathered and were always welcomed at the table.

Left to honor Isidra and remember her love are her husband of 60 years, Gabino Sr., her children; Esperanza Lowry (husband Larry), Raul (partner Jennifer), Rumaldo, Gabino (wife Crystal), Celso (wife Amanda), Jose (wife Melissa), Angelica Moynahan (husband Jon-Paul), Lupe Schneider (husband Tony), Danny (wife Bonney), and Ronnie (wife Tia). Grandchildren; Nicole Garcia and Nickolas Barnes, Paul, David, Trevor and Tanda, Justin and Kristin, and MacKenzie Beaird, Wesley, Cierra and Dalton, Tyler and Taden, Shelby Wakefield, Jasmine, Gabriela, Mikaela and Zane Moynahan, Logan, David and Savannah Schneider and Casey, Kaitlin and Kortni Rawlinson, Mason and Layla, and Kiersten and Lance. As well as numerous great grandchildren that brought her immeasurable joy. She is also survived by her siblings Aurelia, Emilia, Acencion, and Lidia.

She is preceded in death by her parents Manuel and Margarita Gonzales. Children Onerimo, Heronimo, Ricardo, and Raulito. Siblings Gregorio, Amalia, Francisco, Cresenciano, Josefina, and Manuel.

If there is one word that describes Isidra it would be family. Every aspect of her life was embodied and surrounded by her kids. She truly lived her life for her husband, children, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She lived for the moments when we all gathered for any occasion or celebration. Always offering to bring her amazing Spanish rice, homemade tortillas or chile. She shared those recipes with us all, but her ability to cook and the mixing of her unyielding love could never be replicated. Isidra's passions were as nurturing as her soul, finding solace in the tranquility of her plants and the laughter of her children and grandchildren.

As a woman of profound faith and boundless love, Isidra leaves behind a legacy of enduring family bonds and the courage to seek a life filled with opportunity and hope.  Her memory will be cherished in the hearts of those touched forevermore.

The Monjaras family respectfully announce a private memorial service will take place to commemorate Isidra's remarkable life. They invite those who wish to honor her legacy to make a charitable donation to the American Cancer Society.
