Iloe Antoinette
King
May 14, 1960 — Aug 15, 2024
Huntsville
Iloe Antoinette King was called home and passed away on August 15, 2024, in Huntsville, Texas, after her valiant battle against Alzheimer's disease. Born on May 14, 1960, in Houston, Texas to Wilma Collins (McWhorter) and Meldon (Whitey) Collins. Iloe always brought a smile to anyone she encountered and continued to enrich the lives of those around her; she was also known for hugging everyone she met.
Iloe graduated from Sam Houston High School in Houston, Texas in 1978.
In 1999, Iloe married the love of her life, Glenn King (Edwards), in a modest ceremony in San Angelo, Texas. While they had no children together, Iloe loved her nephew, Riley, and niece, Rachel, as if they were her own. She doted over them at every opportunity.
Iloe always had a way of letting her inner child shine through, which was evident in her love for the Minions and Baby Yoda. Iloe had these characters surrounding her desk at TDCJ Probation and Parole offices. She truly loved them. Iloe's hobbies also included reading romance novels with her Nook e-reader, crossword and word search puzzles, and she loved to cook with her husband Glenn. Iloe always joined her husband Glenn in giving back to the community through the annual Make A Smile Happen Christmas drive with KSAM radio, as well as helping the Huntsville Lion's Club at the annual Christmas parade.
Predeceased by her mother, Wilma McWhorter, she is survived by her husband Glenn; stepdaughter Gaylen Clark and her husband Gabriel, granddaughters Gracelynn and Abigail, sister Chere Wedgeworth and nephew Riley Wedgeworth IV and niece Rachel Wedgeworth, as well as niece Melissa Hansen and great-nephew Ryan Hansen, and her father, Meldon (Whitey) Collins.
