Glenn Edward Isbell, 79, of Huntsville, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on August 20, 1946, in Grimes County, Texas, to Audie Isbell and Imogene Isbell.

Glenn was a proud graduate of Huntsville High School, class of '64, and later earned a degree in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University. He honorably served his country as a United States Marine in the Vietnam War, a service he carried with pride and humility throughout his life. He dedicated many years of service to both the City of Huntsville and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice before his retirement. Glenn loved the people of Huntsville, he was known for his strong work ethic, integrity, and quiet dedication to his community.

Glenn was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He cherished spending time with his children and grandchildren and created countless memories through family gatherings, fishing trips, hunting adventures, and simple moments together.

Above all else, he was a faithful Christian, who dedicated himself to teaching his family and others the Bible. Glenn lived his life with kindness, generosity, and love, always putting God first. He worked tirelessly in his local congregation, the Southside church of Christ teaching, leading worship, and quietly serving in any way he was needed. His willingness to help others and his assistance and encouragement to those in need was something for which Glenn was widely known.

He was preceded in death by his father, Audie Isbell; his mother, Imogene Campbell Isbell; and his brothers, David Isbell and Steve Isbell.

Glenn is survived by his loving wife, Annabelle Isbell; his sons, Glenn Isbell Jr. wife April, Andrew Isbell wife Janis, and William Isbell; his brother, Paul Isbell; and his beloved grandchildren, Audie Isbell, Katelyn and Ethan Loyd, Abigail Isbell, Ella Isbell, Finn Isbell, Grayson Isbell, Bain Isbell, and Harper Isbell.

Glenn will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His strength, wisdom, faith, and unwavering love for his God and his family leave behind a legacy that will continue for generations to come.
