Celebrating a life well-lived, we joyfully honor the memory of Glenn Ronald Green, a beloved husband, father, and Papa, who departed this world at the age of 89 on March 6, 2024.

Born in Pineland, TX, he was the only child of his mother, Bea, and devoted stepfather, Reginald Shook. Later in life, he joyfully discovered four half-siblings, expanding his family circle.

Glenn was a veteran of the Marine Corps and a four-year football letterman for Lamar University. His passion for education and sports led him to a 31-year career in teaching and coaching at West Orange, Lumberton, and Silsbee, shaping the lives of countless young athletes with his passion for sports and unwavering support.

In 1996, Glenn and his wife, Jeanell, embarked on a well-deserved retirement in Elkins Lake, enjoying golfing, traveling, and making new friends. Known for his infectious laughter, competitive spirit, and adventurous soul, he touched countless lives with his generosity and faith in Christ.

Glenn's legacy of love and generosity lives on through his beloved wife, Jeanell and his four children: Ronny Green and his wife, Sheila; Karen Cagle and her late husband, Dean; Kelly Green and his wife, Karyn; and Casey Sundgren and her husband, Michael. He is also lovingly remembered by his three stepchildren: Grant Grubbs, Mandy Gross, Amber Lemons and her husband, Robert. Additionally, he is cherished by his eighteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, all honoring his memory and the joy he brought to their lives.

The family extends a heartfelt gratitude to Pat Oliphant and the caregivers at God's Giving Foundation for their exceptional care and patience. We are grateful for the dedication of our sitters, Janice Waldrup  and Linda Dickey.  A special recognition goes to Ada Larry, our dear friend and caregiver.

Under the direction of Heritage Oak Funeral Home, a celebration of Glenn's life will be held at the Huntsville Church of Christ, 3737 Hwy 30, on Saturday, March 16th. The family will have visitation at 10am with the service following at 11am.
