Born on June 1, 1949, in Houston, Texas, to Wanda and Travis Bufkin, Georgiann's life was grounded in love, faith, and service. With a heart full of compassion, she dedicated much of her life to caring for others. As a retired nurse, Georgiann was known not just for her skill but for her extraordinary kindness, gentle presence, and ability to comfort those in need. Her Christian faith was the guiding force in her life, and she showed others the love of Christ through her actions, whether in her nursing career, her time with family, or simply in how she interacted with those around her.
Georgiann's family was the center of her world, and she cherished every moment with them. She is survived by her devoted partner Carl Overton of Huntsville; her sister Bonnie Texeira; her brother, Kenneth Bufkin; her best friend, Pat Luna; and her children Elaine Hahn, Kathryn Sexton, Brandi Capps, Travis Johnston, KC Chitwood, and Whitney Christopher. She also had two great-grandchildren and many adored nieces and nephews.
