Our beautiful mother, Dorothy (Slott) Belinowski, sadly passed away on August 31, 2024 at the age of 99. She went to be with her Lord in the early morning surrounded by family and friends. She was born on January 2, 1925 to John and Mary Slott in New Waverly, Texas and was the youngest of twelve children.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Belinowski and son, Raymond Belinowski. She is preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Leon A. Belinowski, by her parents, brothers, Mike, Ed, Frank, Joe, Felix, Pete and John Lee Slott, sisters, Mary Slott, Clara Slott, Cealy Slott, and Lucille Rust.

Dorothy graduated from New Waverly High School, got married and lived her entire life in New Waverly as homemaker and rancher. She was a lifetime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, taught religion classes and participated in all bazaars as long as she could do so. She lived her life with purpose. Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. She was an excellent baker, enjoyed fishing, making homemade ice cream, and raising cattle. Later in life, she became an Astros baseball fan and looked forward to their games.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in New Waverly with Rev. Daokim Nguyen officiating. Interment will follow at Elmina Cemetery in New Waverly.
