David Glenn
Mcbroom
Aug 5, 1956 — Dec 21, 2025
Huntsville
David was born in Scott City, Kansas on August 5, 1956, but he got to Texas as soon as he could at the age of 5. He was a member of the famous 7th Special Forces Group, proudly serving as a morse code operator, during a time when his team was selected for the now unclassified "Project Blue Light."
David continued his service to others through the Houston Fire Department for over 29 years. He also served as a Warrant Officer in the Precinct 4 Constable's Office for 12 years. "Pig or pork you're coming with me," he would say.
David's true passion came out through words and rhymes as bits of gospel poetry. As a published author he gave all the glory to God. This was David's way to spread the message; we thank you Jesus.
David was a wonderful man who was devoted to God. He will be remembered by the love he had for his family; he was a loving Husband, devoted Father, and Proud Pawpaw. He is survived by his wife of 21+ years, Rebecca; his mother, four children and their families, two sisters and four brothers and their families.
After one conversation he would always walk away as a friend.
David was a man that had never met a stranger and never shirked a task. In lieu of flowers, please honor David by donating to Tunnel To Towers .
