Dale William Kelley went to be with his Lord on November 23, 2025. He passed away peacefully at his home in Oakhurst, Texas.
He was born January 17, 1942 in Lamar, Colorado to parents Harry and Grace Kelley. He was raised on the family farm and graduated from Lamar High School. After graduation he moved from home to attend Oklahoma Wesleyan University in Bartlesville, Oklahoma where he graduated Cum Laud.
Dale Kelley loved the Lord Jesus with all of his heart. His call to become a preacher at 6 years old never wavered throughout his many years in ministry. He began preaching in 1965 and shared his love for the Lord with many people through the churches he served as pastor beginning with his first church, First Pilgrim Holiness in Riverside, California. After leaving California he served a number of churches including Pilgrim Holiness (Calvary) Wesleyan Church - Fredonia, Kansas; Overland Wesleyan Church - Overland, Missouri; St. Peters (Gateway) Wesleyan Church - St. Peters, Missouri where he was the Founding Pastor; Englewood Wesleyan Church - Englewood, Colorado; Oakhurst Full Gospel Church - Oakhurst, Texas and finally Christian Faith Church of Oakhurst - Oakhurst, Texas where he was also the Founding Pastor.
After 55 years he stepped aside on January 26, 2020 because of his health. He was loved by those who called him Pastor, husband, father, Grandpa, Papa and friend. He will be missed on this earth but was welcomed by his Lord and those who have been waiting for his arrival.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Harry & Grace Kelley, son, Galen Kelley, brother, Floyd Kelley and his sisters Barbara Hoard, Jo Mae Myers and Bettie Morris.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela Kelley, brother, Keith Kelley and his wife Julia, brother, Kenneth Kelley, daughter, Sheri Reichert and her husband Darrell, son, Michael Kelley and his wife Christine, son, David Burleson, and his daughter Shanna Scott and her husband Nathan.
Dale is also survived by his grandson, Nicholas McCall and his wife Rachael, granddaughter, Tiffany Akins and her husband Troy, granddaughter, Emily Wells and her husband Adam, granddaughter, Alyssa Reichert; great-granddaughter, Sierra Stanley and her husband Hunter, great-granddaughters, Cordellia Akins & Magnolia Akins, great-grandsons, Silas Akins, Judah McCall, Levi McCall and Micah Wells.
Dale will lie-in-state on Friday, December 5, 2025 at Heritage Oak Funeral Home from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. Services for Dale will be held Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Dorcas Wills Memorial Baptist Church in Trinity, Texas. A visitation will begin at 10:00am with the service beginning at 11:00am.
