Connie Syphrett
Swindull-Ingram
Jun 25, 1943 — Nov 17, 2025
Baytown
Cornelia (Connie) Ophelia Swindull-Ingram, of Baytown, Texas, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025, at the age of 82. She was born on June 25, 1943, in Houston, Texas, to Allen and Bessie Syphrett.
Connie lived a life marked by faith, service, and the kind of open-hearted love that made everyone feel like family. As a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, she found joy in serving others and offering quiet acts of kindness wherever she could. Many in the Baytown community fondly remember Connie's warm smile while she served up delicious hamburgers at Billy's Tasty Foods on Bayway Drive. Whether she was behind the counter, on the road traveling, or gathering with loved ones, Connie made people feel welcome. There was always a chair waiting for you at her table—never just a seat, but a place to feel seen, loved, and cared for.
Her love was grand and generous. Those who knew her often described her as the caring "Aunt" or second mother they wished everyone could have. She embraced many as her own, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her.
Connie is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, David Syphrett, Daniel Syphrett, and Richard Syphrett; and her son, David Swindull.
She is survived by her husband, William (Slade) Ingram, and her beloved children: Francis Ray Swindull, Allen Swindull, William Swindull Jr. and his wife, Karyn, Ivan Swindull and his wife, Roberta, and Katherine Swindull. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, and a host of other loving relatives and friends whose lives she touched with her steady kindness.
Connie's legacy is one of warmth, generosity, and unconditional love. She leaves behind a family and community forever shaped by her gentle spirit and the comfort she provided so effortlessly.
