Clifford Eugene Tubb passed away on October 29, 2025 in Huntsville, Texas. He was born on December 22, 1932 to Frances and Eugene Tubb in Norman, Oklahoma. The young family moved to Shattuck, Oklahoma where they established a floral and nursery business that sustained them through the difficult days of the Great Depression. Some of Cliff's earliest memories were of the dust storms that would roll into town as the Oklahoma Panhandle became ground zero for the infamous Dust Bowl. Despite the hard times, he never forgot the little town of Shattuck and maintained ties to friends in Shattuck throughout his life.

After graduating from Shattuck High School, Clifford went on to attend Oklahoma State University, where he majored in Business. Following college graduation, he joined the Air Force, serving as a flight navigator until his honorable discharge in 1958. A week later, he married the love of his life, Deloris Moody Tubb. The two had met on a blind date when he was stationed at Ellington Air Force Base in Houston. The young couple then moved to Freeport, Texas as Cliff accepted a job with JC Penny as part of their Manager Trainee program. In 1961, they welcomed a daughter, Sherry Ann, to complete the family. In 1963, the family moved to Angleton, Texas.

Cliff dreamed of owning his own business, and in 1968 that dream was realized when he opened Cliff's Men's Wear in Angleton. His business was a staple in Angleton for many years, lasting until 2002 when he retired to spend more time traveling with Deloris and enjoying his grandsons, Andrew and Sean.

Cliff was a quiet man, but he loved being around people. He spent countless hours volunteering with The Lions Club, The Port Ministry, REACT and various church activities for First Baptist Church of Angleton. He also enjoyed helping organize the participants in the Brazoria County Fair Parade. He was honored to be named the Grand Marshall of the Brazoria County Fair Parade in the mid 1990's, a tribute to the time he spent helping the beloved parade tradition continue. He was also a loyal supporter of the Angleton Wildcats Football team and retained the same reserved seats in the old stadium for almost 40 years.

Cliff was a loving husband, father, father-in-law, and grandfather and loyal friend to many in his community. At 92 years old, he outlasted most of his generation. He will be greatly missed by his remaining family and friends.

Cliff is survived by his daughter, Sherry Ann Brownlee; son-in-law Steven Albert Brownlee; and grandsons Steven Andrew Brownlee and Sean Allen Brownlee. He is preceded in death by his wife, Deloris Moody Tubb; mother, Frances Pior Tubb; father, Eugene Tubb and sister, Virginia Marie Murray.
