Cheryle Yvonne Byrd was born September 26, 1951 in Houston, Texas. On March 12, 2023 she passed away in Huntsville, Texas.

Cheryle is a graduate of Aldine High School, Class of 1970. She was a legal secretary for a large Houston Law firm and retired from Lee College in Huntsville where she served as secretary. Cheryle was a dedicated wife to her husband Rod. She enjoyed spending time with family and close friends on multiple adventures from Austin to Colorado. There were always laughs along the way. Cheryle had a wonderful sense of humor and a huge heart. She cherished the friendships God blessed her with. Her most important relationship, was with the Lord. She was a member of First Baptist Church Huntsville, Tx. She played the piano and sang ole time gospel songs throughout her teen to adult years. Cold weather was her favorite time of year, with a close second to summer. She was always ready and willing to shop with anyone. She had a natural knack for decorating. Her heart was genuine and those who were blessed to know her can attest. Her DASH (the date between her birth and death) was beautiful.

She is survived by her husband, Rod Byrd. Mother in law, Mrs. Frances Byrd. Three sons, Chad E Smotek, Spring, Tx. Chad Byrd wife Misty, Huntsville, Tx. Clint Byrd, wife Rhiannon, Austin, Tx. Four incredibly special grandchildren, Emma Smotek, Evan Byrd, twins Graham and Killian Byrd which she adored. Sisters, Dondra Armitage husband Steve of Bossier City, LA, Shannon Humphrey, The Woodlands, Tx. Several nephews and nieces. Special life-long friends, Sherry Pless, Vivian Sands, Charlotte Cochran, and Sandy Millard.

Preceded in death by Parents, Bonnie L Bingham and William (Bill) A. Bingham Jr., Alfred N. Williams. Father in Law Herman L. "Rip" Byrd.
