Cheryl Lynn Bond Maxwell, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2026, at the age of 70.

Born on November 11, 1955, in Houston, Texas, Cheryl was a deeply loved and cherished child from the very beginning. She was lovingly chosen and adopted at birth by Leonard and Eunice Bond, who raised her in a home filled with love and support. Growing up in Houston, Cheryl shared a special bond with her sister, LaNelle, and the two loved dancing together at the dance studio owned by their mother.

Cheryl later married the love of her life, Alan Maxwell, and together they built a beautiful life and family over 33 years of marriage.  Cheryl's greatest joy and proudest accomplishment were their three children: Kevin, Heather, and Shanna. Cheryl devoted her life to loving and caring for her family, always placing them at the center of her heart.

She worked for 15 years as a warehouse manager, where she was respected for her dedication, hard work, and strength. Cheryl was also a fighter in every sense of the word. In 2022, she courageously battled and overcame cancer with determination and grace.

Cheryl experienced profound loss with the passing of her husband, Alan, on Christmas Day in 2024. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Eunice Bond, and her beloved sister, LaNelle Bond.

She leaves behind a family who will forever treasure her memory: her son, Kevin Bond and wife Enrica of La Porte, Texas; her daughters, Heather Maxwell and wife Becci of New Waverly and Shanna Gill also of New Waverly. Cheryl was a proud and devoted grandmother to Chris, Cody, Colby, Cameron, Shelby, and Austin, and an adoring great-grandmother to Jamie, Brooklyn, Sierra, Liam, Lyla, Myles, Marcus, and Mallory.

Cheryl will be remembered for her strength, warmth, resilience, and the unconditional love she gave so freely to those around her. Her family was her world, and her legacy lives on through each of them. Though she will be deeply missed, the love and memories she created will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
