Charles Patrick
Jones
Mar 2, 1946 — Jun 19, 2026
Coldspring
Charles Patrick Jones, known by all as Pat, was greeted with a hug by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on June 19, 2026.
Pat was born in McAlester, Okla on March 2, 1946 – Texas Independence Day. Pat was quick to tell all, that date made him an honorary Texan. He lived in Kiowa, OK until 18; when he entered the Navy.
Pat was preceded in death by Parents, Frank Ray Jones and Delores Olivene Shockley Jones and brother, Billy Ray Jones.
He is survived by beloved wife, Linda Sue Jones; brother-in-law, Calvin Matthews and wife, Ceci; nephew, Ryan Matthews and wife, Brianna; niece, Amanda Van Ness and husband, Mark; nephew, Jordan Matthews; best friend, Regina Gilbreath; step-daughter, Janet Cochran and husband, David; step-daughter, Sandra Stasny; step-daughter, Karen Wahl and husband, Tom. Many step-nieces and step-nephews.
Pat had a very colorful past, in the positive sense. He was a very proud veteran of the Navy. He worked as an engineer and he traveled to all 50 states and several foreign countries. He even loved being a Rodeo Clown in spite of the injuries that came with the role.
Above all else, Pat loved his Lord and Savior and wanted everyone he met here to meet him in Heaven. He talked to everyone about Jesus. In a restaurant, he would ask his waitress if he/she had a prayer request he could include in our prayer before our meal. In waiting rooms, he would ask people if they went to church. If they didn't, he would invite them.
Pat will be missed; but he is out of pain and enjoying fellowship with many family members and friends who have gone on before.
