Our sweet boy, Charles Baylor Davis, came into this world on December 19, 2025, weighing 5 pounds, 11 ounces, and measuring 18 inches long. After just over a month with us here on Earth, he went to be with Jesus on January 21, 2026.

We are incredibly blessed to have had the time we did with Charlie, although it was far too short. In that time, we came to know him as loving. His beautiful eyes would gaze at you, and when we were able to hold him, he would cuddle up and get the best rest. He loved having his head rubbed, his butt patted, and his hand held. Sometimes, he would try to convince his nurses that they had no other patients to care for and that they could just hold his little fingers forever. He was also often described as strong-willed, and we were told that "he ran a tight ship."

Charlie loved to be sung to or even just talked to. We would tell him about how his brother's day at school had gone and pray with him. He loved his pacifier and snuggling his lovies, or sometimes using them to cover his eyes from the bright lights.

Though his life on Earth was far too brief, the love he gave and the joy he brought will stay with us forever. Charlie showed us what true strength looks like. He taught us how to love even more. He was such a strong boy, and he touched more hearts than we ever could have imagined.

We are forever grateful for and will cherish the time we were blessed to spend with our sweet boy. We are also deeply thankful for his incredible medical team, whose compassion and care meant more to our family than words can express.

Charlie is preceded in death by his great-grandmother, MeeMaw (Karen Roznovsky), and his great-grandparents, Honey and Partner (Sylvia and Charles Davis).

He is survived by his parents, Summer and Daniel Davis; his brother, Benson Davis; his grandparents, Meme and Pops (Melissa and Henry Herren) and Sugar and Hoss (Kelly and Wayne Davis); his aunts and uncles, Danielle Lawlis and fiancé Brett Janes, Brianna Lawlis, Aubin Herren, Mitchell Herren, Damon Herren, Cole and Reyann Davis, and Kirby and Marty Ficken; his cousins, Reylie and Carlie Davis; his great-grandparents,Ray and Rebecca Herren and Daniel and Marlene Bonner; and countless friends who loved him like family.

Thank you to everyone who has supported and loved our family during this unimaginable time.

A visitation will be held February 4, 2026 at First Methodist Church of Huntsville beginning at 10:00am with services to follow at 11:00am.
