Brenda Rene' Hahn Sloan, known affectionately as Rene', passed away on September 28, 2024, in Huntsville, TX, at the age of 72. Born on August 17, 1952, in Houston, TX, she was a lifelong lover of the outdoors and cherished the memories of hunting, fishing, and camping with her Daddy, as well as other family members later in life.

Rene' graduated from North Shore Senior High School in 1970. She had a love of adventure that continued throughout her life and never missed a chance to tell stories about road trips on a Harley with her late husband, Lester "Buddy" Casper, Jr. Rene' was deeply devoted to her children and grandchildren, who filled her life with pure joy. She loved to call her grandchildren and have long conversations so that she could hear their voices and stories. She would occasionally leave voicemails if they did not answer and carry on a conversation as if they were on the other end of the line.

She was an active member of Faith Baptist Church in Riverside, Texas, where her faith and community played a pivotal role in her life. Rene' loved her friends from the church and found purpose in serving her Lord. Rene's love for animals was profound. She cared for any animal that would wander into her yard but her dogs, most especially, held a special place in her heart.

Rene' is survived by her daughter, Trina Thomas Mata; son-in-law, Jaime Mata; grandchildren, Matthew Aaron Mata, Micah Alan Mata; son, Randy Dwayne Sloan II; grandchildren, Zara Rene' Sloan, Cassandra Louise Sloan, Dalton Virgil Sloan, and Charles LeGrande Sloan; father, Guerry LeGrande Hahn Sr.; sisters, Leighanne Hahn Cobb and Sherri Hahn Garvin; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Guerry LeGrande Hahn, Jr.; mother, Jesse Bea Hahn; and her beloved husband, Lester "Buddy" Casper, Jr.

A service to celebrate Rene's life will be held at Faith Baptist Church in Riverside, TX on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Second Chance Poms, Inc., a Pomeranian rescue organization in South Texas, honoring her love for animals. Rene's legacy of love, adventure, and compassion will be cherished and remembered by all who knew her.
