Obituary

Bill Larrison flew to heaven on the wings of an angel on January 15, 2024. Husband, father, grandfather, brother, servant of God and friend to many, he was loved deeply by all. Born January 29, 1947, in Huntsville, Texas, to Joe and O'Bera Larrison, Bill graduated from Huntsville High School and later received his bachelor's degree from Sam Houston State University. He was a gentle man that believed in hard work, respect for others, enriching the land he ranched, and helping his fellow man. His tall, slender body and sky-blue eyes were distinctive but his infectious smile, patient demeanor and caring spirit will always be his legacy.

He married Lucy and they shared a special life together, recently celebrating their 50th anniversary. Their three children, Joe Dan, Jace, and Jill knew a dad that modeled strong Christian values, honesty, sacrifice, encouragement, support, and understanding. His house was filled with laughter and love that can never be surpassed.

Coach, 4H leader, church nursery daddy for over 20 years, deacon, surveyor, businessman, rancher, deer skinner, and fish cleaner, he was a servant leader. Up before dawn and back after dark was his routine. He worked long days religiously whether it was his full-time job as a surveyor, small business owner, or taking care of the family farm. There was never an eight-hour day for Bill.

With a passion for the outdoors, hunting and fishing were always shared activities with his family and friends. One could always count on fun, humor, and an exaggerated story around the table or camp house. You never knew what would show up in the refrigerator or bathtub.

What a beloved man. Unique in every way, he left this earth a better place and blessed everyone that knew him. He loved and was loved. Rest peacefully, POPS, you taught us well. Greet us on the other side.

Bill is survived by his wife, Lucy; children Joe Dan Larrison (Juli) of Huntsville; Jace Larrison (Vanessa) of Montgomery; Jill Larrison Harsh of Montgomery; sister JoAnn Wright of Temple and eight grandchildren; Reid, Will, Maggie, JoLynn, Cayden, Marti, Kolby & Hayes

The family would like to extend a special note to Traditions Hospice. We cannot thank you enough for your kind and compassionate care of Bill during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to Tri-Circle Ranch Christian Center (16709 FM 1119, Midway, TX 75852) where Bill was a member.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 2:00PM to 4:00PM at Heritage Oak Funeral Home. A private family memorial service will begin at 4:00PM.
