Bill Lance Fitzgerald was born on August 21, 1969, in Huntsville, Texas and passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025.
From an early age, he found deep joy in the outdoors – a passion that became a defining part of his life. A skilled hunter and avid outdoorsman, Bill Lance had a deep respect for nature and the peace it brought him. He was also an accomplished knife maker, known for his precision, craftsmanship and artistic attention to details. His handmade blades were admired by many and reflected the same quiet strength he carried throughout his life.
Bill Lance earned an undergraduate degree in Range and Wildlife Management from Texas Tech University in 1992 and went on to graduate from Texas Tech School of Law in 1996.
He is survived by his wife, Kimberlin Fitzgerald; his parents, Sandra and Bill Fitzgerald; his sister, Janna Fitzgerald Davis (Chris); his aunt, Texene Armstrong; his niece, Jordan W. Davis and cousins, Cari Park (Curtis), Wendy Van Dyck, Tyler Park, Brendan Van Dyck, Kendyl Van Dyck. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Dorothy and JC Walker and Vernon and Bill Fitzgerald.
Those who knew Bill Lance will remember him for his quiet wisdom and his loyalty. He lived with purpose and deep appreciation for life's simple yet profound experiences.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date for close family and friends.
