William Lee Traver

May 8, 1939 - January 27, 2024

For all who knew Bill, he was a kind and gentle man with a gift for woodworking and a passion for race cars. Bill created masterpieces of ornate wood creations given to friends and families, but always had tiny wooden crosses in his pocket to share with folks to bring them to God and lift their spirits. He spread the message of Christ through his works, with carvings of H0pe that sit on many of our tables.

He had an enthusiasm for NASCAR, collecting memorabilia, watching the races and feeling the exhilaration of the cars flying by. This was a passion he shared with his children and grandchildren.

Bill and Diana married August 27, 1996, finding each other later in life but knowing that they had a love that would go on to grow for 27 years. He became Grandpa Bill, a cherished member of the family  with his kindness and willingness to share his talents and his Louis L'Amour book collection, showing he cared that you were safe by checking your oil and making sure your car was ready for a trip, and he was always available for the best hugs.

Bill is survived by 4 daughters and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents, brothers, sisters, a daughter and several grandchildren.

Diana Shaddock Traver

September 27, 1941 - December 26, 2024

Diana had a way of embodying the teachings of Christ that seemed to come so easy to her. With her compassion and genuine nature, she made real connections and friends everywhere she went. Whether it was a Bible Study or the Farmers Market, she touched people with her joyful laugh and personal touch. She had a gift for making you feel special, sending her artistic treasures in the mail; a hand made card that had been so lovingly crafted just for you.

As a cancer survivor, she spent time praying for and counseling those who were struggling with their illness and bringing them hope. Her desire to give and to share her talents and time were a blessing to so many and her prayers were a direct line to Jesus that moved mountains and lifted the spirits and souls she touched.

Diana was a force of nature; an industrious woman that could plant beautiful roses, clean a home from top to bottom, make her famous bread pudding, go shopping for the best finds and still have energy to laugh and talk over a cup of coffee and something sweet at the end of the day. Diana had the best, most contagious laugh! She always remembered to call on your birthday and sing the Birthday Song so that you could play it back over and over for years to come. She was a master of "the little things"; the little things that make others feel important, loved and supported. She was a beloved mother, wife, daughter and friend. Diana, you will be missed and we love you bunches.

Diana is survived by her 3 children, Crisitie Heil (Jack Bruner), Allen Dale Heil (Leslie), John David Heil (Robin), grandchildren and great grandchildren and a brother. along with nieces, cousins and too many friends to name. She is predeceased by her parents and a brother.
