Betty Lou Lambert Baldwin, 83, of Huntsville Texas went to join her Lord and Savior on November 12, 2023 with her loving daughter and son-in-law by her side.  She was born on July 16, 1940 in Lovington, New Mexico, to Lonnie and Nell Lambert.

Betty graduated from high school in Fairfield, Texas and moved to Huntsville to attend Sam Houston State College where she met the love of her life Harold Baldwin Sr..  They were soon married and made their home in Huntsville.  She had all three children while attending college.   Betty received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Sam Houston State Teacher's College in 1965.  She continued her education and received a master's degree from Sam Houston State University.  After graduation, Betty commuted every day to teach in the Spring Independent School District until she retired after 31 years of dedicated service to the district she loved so dearly.  After retirement, she continued her love for education by teaching at Little Red Schoolhouse in Huntsville, Texas and then finishing her career as a substitute teacher for the Huntsville Independent School District.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents Lonnie and Nell Lambert, her loving husband of 47 years Harold Baldwin Sr., and her only sister Georgia Lancaster.

She is survived by her sister-in-law Dixie Baldwin, her son Harold Baldwin Jr. and wife Leti, her daughter and best friend Kay Baldwin Bennett and husband Billy, her son Billy Baldwin and Teresa.  Betty's pride and joy were all her grandchildren.  She loved attending their many events and was so proud of each one of them.  Her loving grandchildren are Frances Bennett Gulick and husband Curtis, Wesley Baldwin, Lindsay Bennett Moralez and husband Mike, Ryan Bennett and wife Katrina, Aaron Baldwin, Will Baldwin, Lauren Nickels, and Kari Marshall.  Betty was the proud great grandmother of Kennedy Moralez, Cambree Moralez, and Evelyn Bennett.  She was also blessed to be loved my numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Heritage Oak Funeral Home Chapel in Huntsville, Texas on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at 2:00 pm.  Graveside services will immediately follow where she will be laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery in Huntsville.
